No accepted shares with your Gridseed 5 chip ASIC miner?

Are you the proud owner of one of these little Gridseed 5-chip ASIC miners?  They sure are neat and seem fairly efficient, but you might’ve run into a problem where it looks like they’re getting work but shares are not getting accepted.  One thing to keep in mind is that even though you might have the Gridseed connected via USB, you still need a 12v 5a external power supply.  Most online retailers of the Gridseed include a USB cable and you think you’re good to go, but that’s not the case.  An inexpensive power supply like this one will serve you well: SUPERNIGHT(TM) 100V – 240V To DC 12V 5A Switching Power Supply Adapter For LED strip Light.
Once you have the power supply connected AND the USB cable, you should start seeing some accepted shares.  If not, you might want to contact the place you purchased the miner from to see if they have any suggestions.  I recommend GAWMiners.com.
